Every successful BRTV campaign starts with a good brief. Together, we will agree the commercial's core objective, the key messages and what benefits are likely to maximise response. A brief doesn’t need to be long, and we can guide you through the process to make sure we are heading in the right direction.

Once an idea has been agreed, we go straight into pre-production. Our expert team organises everything. We bring on board one of our trusted directors to bring our vision to life as well as organising a casting to find the perfect artists to represent your brand. We source all the crew, costumes and catering and scout various locations to give you a choice of venues for filming. We keep you in the loop throughout, securing your approval on all the key decisions so there are no surprises on the shoot.
Our typical shoot spans one or two days, either on location of in a studio. We highly encourage you to join us and encourage your active involvement throughout the day. While on set, we have dedicated viewing monitors set up for you to closely observe the creative process. We love to see a collaborative approach between you and the director; it's your brand, and your valuable input can lead to even better results.

Completing the advert isn’t quite the last step! Before it can air, every ad must receive full clearance. Our expert team manages the Clearcast approval process from start to finish so you can be confident it complies with regulations. Once approved, we handle the final transmission, delivering your ad directly to broadcasters to ensure everything is in place for a successful launch.

If in doubt you can do both! Space City often produces variants of the same creative idea to suit different airtime requirements. So for example we might produce a hard-hitting 60" DRTV ad for use during off-peak daytime TV; we can then also create a softer BRTV 30" version for use in peak time.
As with all forms of TV advertising, the answer can be found by testing. So it is generally very easy to create a range of ad durations - say 60", 40" 30" 20" and 10". These can then be played out in a series of small test campaigns to determine which length is most cost-effective.
The number ways in which viewers can respond to a TV ad is growing. In the early days the only response option was via a phone number. Then web and text response came along, and now some advertisers incorporate a QR code into their creative. But the future is likely to be about CTV - Connected TV - providing commercials that offer an engaging two-way experience. By using clickable navigation, viewers can actively participate and interact with the content on their screens. So a commercial will no longer need clumsy response mechanisms and BRTV will become the norm. Furthermore, interactive commercials are considered to be more engaging and entertaining than more traditional forms of TV advertising.
